The Conference

We are delighted to offer you the first conference on the subject of Women’s Yoga- this conference is aimed to inspire all female practitioners and teachers of women. We have invited speakers and teachers who specialise in female specific subjects; menstruation, menstrual cycle, fertility, pregnancy, birth, post-partum care, and menopause.

The Women's Yoga Conference is a 2 day event held at the Park Inn Conference Hotel, Heathrow. London UK.
Each ticket purchase is valid for both days of the conference and includes complimentary refreshments throughout the day and a vegetarian/vegan lunch.
Tickets exclude overnight accommodation and evening meals.

The conference is taking place in a large conference suite with our own private refreshment/breakout area. While you are attending the conference you are welcome to make use of all hotel facilities which includes a pool and restaurant.

In partnership with Not Just Travel the conference organisers have specially reserved hotel rooms that can booked either as single occupancy (£79) or twin occupancy (£89). Delegates are welcome to share rooms and split the costs - our partners at Not Just Travel will help pair you with a delegate for room sharing if you are travelling alone and wish to arrange a room share.

Once you have purchased a ticket your place at the conference is guaranteed and a welcome information pack will be emailed to you which advises to travel directions, how to book a room using our conference rate and more.

Alexandra Pope and Sjanie Hugo Wurlitzer
co-founders of Red School

Co-directors of Red School, Alexandra and Sjanie have developed a radical new approach to women's health and wellbeing, creativity, leadership and spiritual life based on the power of the menstrual cycle. Published authors and experts in the field of women's wellbeing and spirituality, their most recent book is Wild Power: discover the magic of your menstrual cycle and awaken the feminine path to power, published by Hay House (April 2017).

Between them, they have spent forty years exploring and learning about menstruality from their own deeply lived experience and the collective knowledge they have gathered from working with thousands of women. Pioneering this field, they have created the most comprehensive and life-changing programme available to date, offering in-person workshops, online courses and professional training in the field of menstruality.

Louise James

Hi! I'm Louise James - Tilly to my friends!

Quite simply, I am passionate about helping everyone find the key to unlocking their full potential through physical awareness and believe that unravelling our postural habits can have a transformative effect on how we feel about ourselves, the world and our place in it.

I have more than 30 years’ experience as a Chartered Physiotherapist specialising in musculoskeletal conditions with experience in Acupuncture, Women’s Health and Clinical Pilates. I have also trained in Arvigo Therapy (abdominal massage), the Buteyko Technique, EFT and Matrix Re-imprinting.

I’m incredibly thankful to have found my way to Yoga - and remind myself that I don’t do regrets when I complain “what took me so long?!”

It seems as if everything I have ever done has been leading me to this point. I gave up working as a Physio in 2014 to concentrate on launching the Buttafly as a seat and prop for Yoga, the concept for which came to me in meditation. Showing itself to be a powerful tool for realignment of the spine, the Buttafly is taking me back to my roots as a Physio and keen advocate of Women’s Health issues.

Mandy Adams

Mandy Adams has worked within the field of women’s health, in one way or another, her entire life and is currently working as a Menstruality Educator offering Women’s Workshops, Online Mentoring, Rites of Passage Ceremonies, and Pregnancy and Well Woman Yoga classes. She is also the founder of Red Tent Cornwall and is an online mentor at Red School.

She has a background in education and holds a BA (Hons) in Steiner (Waldorf) Education and specialist diplomas in Counselling, Shadow Work Facilitation, Birthlight Yoga and Advanced Aromatherapy. Former creator of local business Love Baby Yoga, Mandy now offers her work under her own name. Having spent much of her working life in Asia she now lives back in Cornwall with her husband and three young sons in the small town in which she was born. Mandy is deeply passionate about championing the three major hormonal changes in a woman’s life – menarche, mothering and menopause – as rites of passage offering opportunities to directly awaken to a woman’s relationship with the Earth, her inner Self and her unique calling within her community.

Rachel Fleming

Rachel went to India in 2009 to study within the Sivananda tradition of classical Hatha Yoga and Vedanta. After a short spell of teaching she undertook further studies with Uma Dinsmore-Tuli in Pregnancy Yoga, Women's Yoga, Well Woman Yoga Therapy and Yoga Nidra. During this time she fell pregnant and subsequently birthed twin boys in 2011. To keep herself sane during early motherhood she sang....a lot. It was the only spiritual practice that didn't require the use of hands (ideal if you have twins). Rachel has most recently completed training with Jo Manuel and the Special Yoga Foundation teaching kids Yoga and Mindfulness.

Her teaching is joyful and heart centred and draws deeply from the feminine, the Divine and the humorous. She leads women's yoga and sacred singing circles, general Hatha classes, kids yoga, meditation and yoga Nidra workshops. Her one to one sessions blend Yoga, reiki and crystal healing.

She lives in Bristol with her two boys and her husband Andy.

Sue Blanch

Sue is founder of Yoga and the Menstrual Cycle and teaches women to bring their yoga practice in tune with their menstrual cycle and live in harmony with their natural rhythm. She is a contributing tutor on the Well-Woman Yoga Therapy course run for Yogacampus, London by Uma Dinsmore-Tuli and has trained with her and other women expert in menstruality, including Alexandra Pope and Miranda Gray.

She has created yoga sequences for specific phases of the cycle which have almost entirely eradicated her period pain and brought her troublesome Pre-Menstrual Syndrome under control. Combining yoga and menstrual cycle awareness has enabled her to discover and capitalise on the benefits of having a cycle.

Sue started practising yoga in 1997 and found it the perfect antidote to hectic London life and a stressful career as an environmentalist in engineering and construction. She has been teaching for 3½ years, is now enjoying a more chilled out life in Dorset and teaches throughout the UK.

Sundari (Miranda Falconer)

Sundari Miranda Falconer’s connection with body wellness and healing began as a young girl, with her interest in movement and dance. In 1999, after studying a Performance Arts Degree, a mental health crisis and a transformative trip to India turned her love of movement into a yoga practice. She started teaching in 2004, after attending her first Teacher Training; a daily 3-month Chakra & Hatha Yoga Program in Thailand, with the Pyramid Yoga School.

In 2007, she completed a 700-hour apprenticeship program with the late internationally acclaimed Yoga Therapist, Mukunda Stiles (who gave Sundari her name) and graduated as a Structural Yoga Therapist. Her case study, under Mukunda’s guidance, focused on the ‘General Pelvic Area’, which birthed her fascination and interest in specializing in this area. It was during this training that she met her colleague Uma Dinsmore-Tuli, whom, in 2009, during Sundari’s first pregnancy, she went on to assist for and trained in her Pregnancy Yoga Training. Sundari’s commitment to Women’s Health gained her a certification as a ‘Well Woman / Womb Yoga Therapist’ and to this day she continues to offer a session on the ‘Well Woman Training Program’ about the importance of stabilizing the Sacroiliac Area.

In 2013, she completed the NHS accredited ‘Yoga for Health Lower Backs’ training.

Her own pregnancies, births and post-natal recovery from her two sons has fed her passion and professional interest in post-partum health. She has studied many forms of yoga and Buddhist meditation, settling now for a gentle, yet strengthening, flowing meditative form of Hatha yoga.

She lives in Somerset, with her family and cat, and where she teaches her regular and Pregnancy Yoga weekly classes and offers One-to-One Yoga Therapy / Well Women Sessions.

Swami Saradananda


Swami Saradananda is an internationally-renowned yoga and meditation teacher who inspires you to want to practise. Her classes are practical as well as theoretical in nature – and always enlightening! She has been teaching for more than 40 years and has authored a number of books, including "Yoga Mind and Body", "Relax and Unwind with Yoga", "Chakra Meditation", "The Essential Guide to Chakras" and “Mudras for Modern Life”. The third edition of her innovative book "The Power of Breath” was recently released.
